Bryanston Organic & Natural Market
 The Original Organic Market

I
n 1976 a group of parents organized a fair to raise money for the school, at the end of the day there were lots of vegetables left so the “fundraisers” sold them to other parents in the school. Parents supported this initiative with relish and it became a regular occurrence, with organic farmers selling produce from the boots of their cars! From these modest beginnings the Bryanston Organic & Natural Market has evolved into the thriving market we know and love today.

The relationship between the Market and the school is one founded on the principles of right thinking and right action. The Market raises money for the school so that we can grow and bring our wonderful education system to even more children.

The Market supports a number of charities including CHOC

The Market enables us to spread the word about Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy; it informs the public at large about organic farming, biodiversity and sustainable development; and helps us to assist farmers, artists, musicians and crafters to earn a living while expressing their gifts and talents.

For the last 35 years the Market has been ahead of its time in expressing the very things that have become buzz-words of the current environmental awareness, in the same way that the school is ahead of its time with regard to educational practices. Anyone looking to buy totally natural, hand made quality crafts will find just what they are looking for at the Bryanston Organic & Natural Market.
